The Nail Files: Big Daddy & Black on Black

Last week I purchased two new Sinful Colors Professional nail colors, and one of my colors was a Black on Black.  So, since it's fall now with Halloween at the end of October, I thought I'd combine my Big Daddy (an orange shade), and my new Black on Black together to begin my Halloween festivities:) I applied two coats of my new Black on Black polish, and three coats of Big Daddy.  Voila!

Look What I Got: Phillip Lim for Target

I was so excited Phillip Lim was coming out at Target on September 15th, that I just couldn't wait. However, I decided to go ahead and wait because I knew it would be crazy, so I dropped by on the 16th instead.  Boy, I was excited because at my local Target they still had a good selection of Phillip Lim's pieces still left.

Here the items that I purchased that day at Target: The Phillip Lim French Terry, Silky Skirt "Animal", the Boom Scarf, a Black Gusset Tote, and a Taupe Medium Satchel.

What did you get a chance to buy when Phillip Lim for Target was released?

It's fall now, does that mean that it's time for me to bring out my coats, scarves, pants, and sweaters? I hope not, because I'm not ready :(  Although, the weather here on the Eastern Shore has been really cool lately. I mean, I've already taken my jeans and other fall/winter clothing out of my attic :)

So for my outfit today, I thought I'd keep it simple, so I added a striped tee with a pair of capris.  Also, I thought I'd keep it casual too, so I added a pair of black flat shoes, a black handbag, with silver & red jewelry.

How do you transition into fall?  What are your favorites to wear?

Look What I Made!

For today's sewing project I made a small reuseable Grocery Bag by Michelle Patterns.  Although, this isn't the first time I've tried to sew this particular pattern, I glad I didn't give up because I love how itd turned out :)  Also, recently I've been seeing this pattern on Instagram lately, so I decided to give it another try as well.

Here's a photo of my resuseable Grocery Bag:

The Nail Files: Wildfire

I was feeling a little lazy this weekend, and since it was definitely time for me to get my eyebrows waxed, so I thought I'd go and visit a nail salon to kill two birds with one stone.  Since, I enjoy the look of CNC Shellac nail gel, I decided to have a red nail color, Wildfire polished onto my nails.

It's Wednesday, so this week's already halfway over, and my how time flies.  Also, it's so hard to believe it's already the middle of September too, fall is just around the corner :)  Anyway, for today's outfit I thought I'd keep it simple by wearing a bright orange colored top with a pair of denim boyfriend jeans.  I also added a pair of nude flats too.

Ok, so the weather here on the Eastern Shore is slowly but surely turning cool out.  NO!  I want it to stay hot outside for awhile, however I'll just dress according to the weather outside. Also, if you missed my post yesterday it was about a new tote I made for myself, and I'm just so excited to be sewing again. So, continue to stay tuned for more of my sewing posts :)

Anyway, for my outfit today I chose to wear a pair of black capris with a black & cream top, black flats, my Louis Vuitton handbag, and black & silver accessories.

My Floral Tote

I've decided to start implementing my sewing projects here on my blog on a weekly basis, because not only do I really enjoy sewing, but I'd like to continue to show you guys my different sewing projects that I've made as well.  So, with this in mind, here's a new floral tote that I handmade for myself.  Since I'm a big tote and handbag type of girl, I thought I'd make myself a cute floral tote that could carry my Kindle, iPad Mini, a book or two, and my new Filofax in it.  Voila!  I loved how new floral tote turned out :)

For today I decided to wear a sheath dress I purchased several years ago at Macy's.  I'm normally not a big fan of don't sheath dresses, because I feel like I'm constantly pulling them down.  However, for church I chose to wear this one:)  I chose to pair my dress with black pump & handbag, and silver accesories.
