A Day at the Downtown Aquarium

My family and I weren't supposed to fly out of Denver until later on in the evening, so we had plenty of time to do some exploring in the Denver area.  Our first stop was the Downtown Aquarium, since my boys are both big animal lovers, my husband and I knew we would have a good time while there.  Also, I would get a chance to continue to play around with my camera lens, while getting some great shots of some of the animals.

Here are some the photos that I took while at the aquarium:

Vegetarian Meatloaf

Vegetarian Meatloaf

So for today I decided to make a Vegetarian Meatloaf for dinner and I wanted to share with you my recipe.  Here are the ingredients that I used:

Morning Star Griller Crumbles
5 eggs
5 slices of bread
1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup of bell pepper
1/2 cup of onion
1/2 cup of ketchup
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of paprika

First I chopped my bell pepper and onion, then I sautéd them in an half of stick of butter and paprika in my skillet.   In my mixing bowl I added the Morning Star griller crumbles, 5 eggs, 5 slices of bread, and 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese.  Next,  I combined my bell pepper and onions, then I stirred all of my ingredients into my mixing bowl.  I preheated my oven at 350 degrees also, then I mixed my ketchup and brown sugar in a small bowl to make my sauce.  Then I placed my sauce into the microwave for a minute or so and layered my casserole dish with half of my sauce.  Then I poured my ingredients into my casserole dish and spread the other half of my sauce on top of my meatloaf.  Finally, I baked my vegetarian meatloaf for 45 minutes.  Happy Holidays Everyone!

Scenic Colorado

For the last several of years my family and I have decided to opt out of spending time with our families for the holidays, and instead we'll spend quality time with the four of us.  So, for this Christmas this year we decided to visit Colorado again with some friends of ours to go skiing, since we enjoyed our first skiing experience.  Here are some of the photos that I took on our ride up the mountain in Colorado:

A Camo Appearance

Camouflage Blazer (Zara), Peplum Top (Zara), Skinny Jeans (Old Navy), Black Belt NYC via (New York & Company), Black Boots (Nine West), Sequined Clutch (Zara), Watch Michael Kors via (Ebay), Gold Chain Bracelet TheWayWeAre Shop via (Etsy), and The Willow Black Beads (Glitter & Gloss).

I wasn't feeling well yesterday evening, so I didn't get a chance to post on my blog, or do the list of things that I planned on getting done.  Although I'm feeling better now, I thought that I would be able to get caught up on my list, but I didn't feel well enough to do it today either, so it didn't get done:(  It's so hard to believe Christmas is in several days, but it is and I hope I'm feeling better by then.

My outfit for the today is a Camouflage Blazer my husband purchased for me at Zara several weeks ago when he went to Chicago.  I've been seeing camouflage on various blogs and in magazines and decided what the heck let me try something camouflage also.  So I paired my Camouflage Blazer with a black peplum top underneath it, a pair of skinny jeans, black boots, a sequined clutch, and black & gold accessories.

Happy Hump Day!!  For my outfit today I decided that I would wear something simple but stylish, so I choose a pair of bootcut jeans, a white peplum t-shirt and a red cardigan for a pop of color.  My shoes have a certain vintage style to them, so I paired them as well.  However, for my accessories I thought I would stick with the color gold because it's simple and classic.  Finally, I couldn't leave out my Gucci tote, because it's one of my favorites:)

Hello Everyone!  Thank God It's Friday because that means the weekend is here baby.  Also, it means that I don't have to set my alarm for 6:30am to wake up my oldest son and I can sleep in, yes.  Well, for my outfit for the day, I finally decided to wear my black faux fur vest I bought on sale for $12 at Kohl's early this year.  I've been dying to year it and for whatever reason I didn't, it literally hung in my closet all year until I wore it today.  So, I decided to wear my faux fur vest with a sweater, black tall boots, my Chanel handbag, a stainless steel Fossil watch, and black & silver accessories.

Hello All!  I have some things that are weighing heavy on my heart, so you guys know that my house has been on the market for almost two weeks now and the first week, it seemed like everyone wanted to stop by and view it.  However, this week rolls around and no one has been by to view it, although we have some potential buyers on tomorrow.  I know that this is the lowest time of the year to place your house of the market, but for my family and I it had to be done.  This whole process is teaching me to be very patient, but it's been quite frustrating also.

Although, I'm trying not to stress out about it, it's been really hard not to because my husband starts his first day on February 4th with our house selling or not, meaning my boys and I will continue to live in Indiana until it sales and we will be apart from each other for the first time.  So lately my prayers have been that we find a buyer who falls in love with our home, our house passes the home inspection, the buyers have great financially backing, and ultimately buy it.  Also, once our home sells we're able to find a home in Maryland that we love, it passes our home inspection and we buy it.  Please keep my family and I in your prayers.

So for my outfit today I decided to wear an Olive Cable Knit Sweater from Forever 21, my wide leg J Brand jeans, a pair of tall black boots, my new Zara tote and gold accessories.

A Striped Peplum

Striped Peplum Jacket (Zara), Ivory Peplum Top (Zara), Bootcut Jeans MNG By Mango via (JC Penney), Brown Booties (Nine West), Red Tote LuLu by Lulu Guinness via (JC Penney), Watch Michael Kors via (Ebay), Basilissa Pave Bracelet (ILY COUTURE), Devi Bangles (Stella & Dot), and Sunnies Tom Ford via (Sunglass Hut).

My outfit today is a Striped Peplum Jacket I ordered recently online from Zara.  For some reason or another I have fallen head over heels in love with peplums, I suppose I love the way they look and how they fit on me when I wear one:)  Well anyway, I saw this particular peplum jacket on someone and knew that I had to buy it,  I loved that the jacket's striped, so I can style it with different colored tops.

For today, I decided to pair my Striped Peplum Jacket with an ivory peplum top, bootcut jeans, a pair of brown booties, a red tote, sunnies, and gold accessories.

When you want a causal look, how do you style your blazer/jacket?

Foxy Brown

Fox Sweater (Old Navy), Skinny Denim Jeans (Old Navy), Brown Tall Boots (Nine West), Hobo Onna Ehlrich via (Hautelook), Watch (Fossil), Clover Double Wrap Leather Bracelet and Nugget Wrap Bracelet via (Stella & Dot).  Also, my other bracelet is no longer available, but The Signature Scallop & Leather Bracelet is similar to it and it's from Stella & Dot.

Today marks my 6th month blog anniversary and it's hard to believe that I've been blogging for half a year now.  Before I started my blog I would read a hand full of blogs everyday and thought to myself, "if she can do it, so can I" and 6 months later here I am.  Of course, I didn't realize what all went into starting a blog and maintaining it, but I really enjoying doing it.  Thus far, I have no regrets and I've learned so much over the last 6 months and I hope to continue to learn even more during my blogging journey.

My outfit for today was really fun because on the front of my sweater is a picture of a cute little fox.  Old Navy recently had some really cute sweaters in store and on line and this particular sweater was one of them.  I wore this sweater a couple of weeks ago, but didn't post it, so I thought that I do so for today.  I decided to pair my sweater with skinny jeans, a pair of tall brown boots, a hobo, and brown and silver accessories.

How do you normally style your sweater?
