Sew Swap

For those of you who are following me know that I've been taking beginning sewing classes at Joann's Fabric Store and so far I've made 2 pillows, 2 zipper pouches, a tote, and tissue holder.  I don't by any means consider myself a pro, but I definitely enjoy sewing and seeing my finished projects.  Plus, there's nothing I like better than carrying something around I made:)

Anyway, I took the plunge and entered myself into a Sew Swap, the rules for the swap were each participate had to sew something special for their partner, then mail their gift to them.  I entered the swap because it enabled me to make something for someone else, and I had to start and finish a project in a timely fashion because there was a deadline:)

Although, I'm still wet behind the ears in sewing I made my swap partner a lovely decorative pillow.  I forgot take a picture of the decorative pillow, but I hope that she enjoyed it, I know I did because it was fun sewing it for her.  The gift I received was a lovely reusable snack bag and mug sleeve, which I absolutely love:)  This is what they look like:
